2026 Box Lacrosse Season

U7 / U9 COED

Ages 5-8 (birth year (2018 to 2021)

The U9 program skills session to help develop skills. The U9 play with a smaller "Rage Cage" net. Goalies are introduced at this age. Each player takes turn trying goalie. 

Required equipment includes hockey/lacrosse helmet, hockey/lacrosse gloves, jock/jill and mouth guard. Volleyball type knee pads, hockey/lacrosse shoulder pads and hockey elbow / lacrosse slash guards are optional but recommended. Players will also require their own stick. Stick shafts should be short shafts either bought or cut to length between 24inch-28inch (with overall length of 34inch-38inch), depending on height of player.

Cost: $175 Registration fee

 

U11 COED

Ages 9-10 (birth year 2016 / 2017)


The U11 age group for lacrosse is the first introduction to modified contact. U11 is played full court, with 5 runners and a goalie.

Required equipment includes hockey/lacrosse helmet, hockey/lacrosse gloves, jock/jill, mouth guard, hockey/lacrosse shoulder pads, hockey elbow / lacrosse slash guards, box lacrosse bicep pads and box lacrosse kidney/rib guards. Players will also require their own stick. Stick shafts should be short shafts either bought or cut to length between 24inch-28inch (with overall length of 34inch-38inch), depending on height of player.

Cost: $350 Registration Fee, Tournament Fees are extra.

 

U13 COED

Ages 11 - 12 (birth year 2014-2015)

The U13 age group - Players should be learning and developing more skills and strategies for game play.  .

Required equipment includes, hockey/lacrosse helmet, hockey/lacrosse gloves, jock/jill, mouth guard, hockey/lacrosse shoulder pads, hockey elbow / lacrosse slash guards, box lacrosse bicep pads and box lacrosse kidney/rib guards. Players will also require their own stick. Stick shafts should be between 28inch-30inch (with overall length of 38inch-40inch), depending on height of player.

Cost: $360 Registration Fee, Tournament fees are extra.

 

U15 COED

Ages 13-14 (birth year 2012- 2013)

The U15 age group - Players should be learning and developing even more skills and strategies for game play then at the U13.  

Required equipment includes hockey/lacrosse helmet, lacrosse gloves, jock/jill, mouth guard, box lacrosse shoulder pads, box lacrosse slash guards, box lacrosse bicep pads and box lacrosse kidney/rib guards. Players will also require their own stick. Stick shafts should generally be standard attack length of 30inch (with overall length of 40inch).

U15 Division will be joining the Winnipeg League.  The schedule is TBD 

Cost: $460 Registration Fee, Tournament fees are extra.

 

U17 COED

Ages 15-16 (birth year 2010- 2011)

The U17 age group - Players should be learning and developing even more skills and strategies for game play then at the U15.  

Required equipment includes hockey/lacrosse helmet, lacrosse gloves, jock/jill, mouth guard, box lacrosse shoulder pads, box lacrosse slash guards, box lacrosse bicep pads and box lacrosse kidney/rib guards. Players will also require their own stick. Stick shafts should generally be standard attack length of 30inch (with overall length of 40inch).

If you are born in 2008 we will have to request an overage variance from the Winnipeg Commission to see if you are allowed to play with the U17 Team.  As a general rule 2008 born females can play down one year.  

U17 Division will be joining the Winnipeg League.  The schedule is TBD

U22 CO-ED

Ages 17 to 21 (2005 to 2009)

U22 is new for 2026.  If we have enough players to form at team U22 will join the Greater Winnipeg Lacrosse League.  Practice will be on Wednesday nights and games to be determined.   We will share details about the league as they become available. Please register so we can form a team.

 

U13 to U17 Female Divisions

If we have enough females in each division, we will form a female team.  If there are not enough females for a division the females will join the co-ed team.
